Rabbi Yehoshua was one of the greatest 2nd generation Tanna’im. He was an outstanding student of Rabbi Yochanan Ben-Zackai, who said about him: “How happy is the woman who gave birth to him”.
Rabbi Yehoshua had a Yeshivah (school of learning) in Peki’in, which is located in the upper Galilee, in the north of Israel. Was from the “Levi” tribe of Israel. He was one of the poets of the Temple, during its time, and was privilege to live a long and lasting life.
