Rabbi Ze’ev was one of the disciples of the Maggid of Mezritch and was also the student of the “Levushei Srad”. Rabbi Menachem Mendel of Kasov was his most outstanding student.
Rabbi Ze’ev moved to Israel in the Hebrew year of תקנ’ח. He traveled part of the way with Rabbi Avraham of Kalisk.
In Israel he used to visit Rabbi Avraham every Shabbat during “Seudah Shlishit” (the third meal of Shabbat) as well as every Rosh Chodesh.
He died in the Hebrew year of תקפ’ג.
